Volleyball Game Preview: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Springville Red Devils

The Cedar Valley Aviators will square off against the Springville Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cedar Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Westlake, who was ranked third at the time (Cedar Valley was ranked 20th). The Aviators came up short against the Thunder on Friday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Springville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past Timpview 3-0 on Monday. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Springville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Cedar Valley now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
