Softball Recap: Wakefield Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Wakefield won the last time they faced Leesville Road and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wakefield Wolverines put the hurt on the Leesville Road Pride with a sharp 7-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Kensley Harrison made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. Harrison was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

Harrison wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Lampman, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Wakefield's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Wakefield will venture away from home to square off against Falls Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leesville Road, they will host Wake Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
