Baseball Recap: Jena Comes Up Short

Jena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Alexandria Trojans, falling 12-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Giants of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Jena now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Alexandria, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jena will face off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Giants will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Alexandria, they will be playing at home against North DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 2.2, the Griffins 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
