            Baseball Recap: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Kennett Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Dyer County took a eight-run  loss the last time they faced off against Kennett, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Choctaws had just enough and edged out the Indians  6-5. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Choctaws as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dyer County's victory was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-9-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kennett, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Coming up, Dyer County will host South Gibson  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their  12th straight  victory, something the Choctaws surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kennett, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Notre Dame  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Indians and six for the Bulldogs.
