Soccer Game Preview: Hawthorne vs. Gardena

The Hawthorne Cougars will take on the Gardena Panthers in a tournament on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Hawthorne didn't have quite enough to beat Firebaugh and fell 2-1.

The Cougars' goal came courtesy of Omar Murillo, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Gardena unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jordan last Thursday.
