Basketball Recap: Lazbuddie Falls Despite Big Games from Brynlie Cleavinger and Madison Tyler

Lazbuddie managed to keep up with Kress until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lazbuddie Longhorns came up short against the Kress Kangaroos, falling 42-22. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Kangaroos recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Lazbuddie had strong showings from Madison Tyler, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Brynlie Cleavinger, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Tyler a new career-high in rebounds.

Even though they lost, Lazbuddie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Lazbuddie's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Kress, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-9.

Lazbuddie will welcome Springlake-Earth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lazbuddie is facing Springlake-Earth at the right time seeing as Springlake-Earth is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Kress, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
