Baseball Game Preview: Thurston Colts vs. Crater Comets

Thurston is on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Crater is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Colts will host the Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thurston's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Crater's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Thurston's win against Eagle Point wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colts never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Colts have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Crater came out on top against Churchill on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Comets took their contest against the Lancers 12-9. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Thurston's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Crater, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Everything went Thurston's way against Crater in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Thurston made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
