Baseball Game Preview: Wynne Yellowjackets vs. DeWitt Dragons

The Wynne Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the DeWitt Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Wynne 3.9, DeWitt 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wynne is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arkansas' top teams: Riverside, who was ranked eighth at the time (Wynne was ranked 20th). Wynne fell just short of Riverside by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, DeWitt entered their tilt with McGehee on Tuesday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Owls.

DeWitt's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Wynne, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
