Recap: Powers Catholic Chargers vs. Central Wolves

The Powers Catholic Chargers stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They really took it to Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-29 win at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.

Javontae Ross continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with three steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Kelly, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.

Powers Catholic's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powers Catholic will take on Hamtramck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will be playing at home against Saginaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saginaw knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.
