Baseball Recap: Clairemont Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Clairemont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the La Jolla Vikings 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Chieftains sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Connor Trevino, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Bo Osland, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clairemont pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for La Jolla, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clairemont beat the Vikings by a score of 6-0 on Tuesday.
