Basketball Recap: KIPP P Comes Up Short

KIPP P was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Warren County Eagles and fell 60-13. The Pride were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-9.

Warren County found their leader in freshman Iyauna Harley, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Harris, who went 5 for 6 en route to 13 points and four steals.

KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Warren County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Southeast Halifax the next time they take the court. Warren County will head out to face Southeast Halifax at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while KIPP P will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
