Preview: Lewis Cass Kings vs. Taylor Titans
The Lewis Cass Kings will head out on the road to challenge the Taylor Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lewis Cass has four straight victories, Taylor has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Lewis Cass has not done well against North Miami recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Lewis Cass enjoyed a cozy 46-31 win over North Miami. Given Lewis Cass' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while North Miami is ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Taylor suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Clinton Central, falling 79-38. Taylor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.
Lewis Cass has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Lewis Cass against Taylor in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 57-13 win. With Lewis Cass ahead 29-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
