Football Recap: J.I. Burton Piles Up the Points Against Castlewood + How To Watch

J.I. Burton never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Castlewood Blue Devils 49-0. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Black Raiders this season.

Leading J.I. Burton to victory were Mark Miller and Isaac Potter. Miller rushed for 224 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while Potter rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Miller a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: J.I. Burton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 345 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

J.I. Burton's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Castlewood, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. J.I. Burton will head out to challenge Rye Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Castlewood, they will venture away from home to square off against Hurley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
