Football Recap: Tupelo Takes Down Ranked Christ Presbyterian Academy

Tupelo is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Christ Presbyterian Academy. The Golden Wave enjoyed a cozy 23-7 win over the Lions.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kylan Bobo and Jaeden Hill. Bobo rushed for 135 yards and one TD on only 11 carries while Hill rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Bobo's longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Tupelo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christ Presbyterian Academy only rushed for -10 rushing yards.

Tupelo's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tupelo will square off against Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will take on Archbishop Moeller at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
