Basketball Recap: Evart Wildcats vs. Pine River Area Bucks
The Evart Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They fell just short of Pine River Area by a score of 53-51. Evart has struggled against the Bucks recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Nathan Marks had an outrageously good game for Pine River Area as he almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Marks has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Evart has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Pine River Area, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evart will take on the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northern Michigan Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Pine River Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
