Volleyball Game Preview: Kewaunee Storm vs. Mishicot Indians

The Kewaunee Storm will venture away from home to square off against the Mishicot Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kewaunee will be strutting in after a win while Mishicot will be coming in after a loss.

Kewaunee was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Sevastopol 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kewaunee took Sevastopol into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 11-25, 25-15, 24-26, 25-15, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Mishicot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to St. Mary Catholic. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since September 8th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-20, 25-12.

Kewaunee pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mishicot, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.

Kewaunee beat Mishicot 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
