Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Franklin

The Marshall Barristers are taking a road trip to face off against the Franklin Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marshall is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Robert F. Kennedy Community just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. Neither they nor the Bobcats could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Barristers happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, Franklin kept a clean sheet against Wilson on Friday. They came out on top against the Mules by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two goals.

With that draw, Marshall's record moves to 13-3-1. As for Franklin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5-2.

Marshall was able to grind out a solid victory over Franklin in their previous meeting back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshall since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
