Soccer Recap: West Extends Winning Streak to Seven

West barely beat Heritage the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Mountaineers on Tuesday. Considering West have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Heritage from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Wesley (Reed) Franks led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory (which was West's seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those seven matches. As for Heritage, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coincidentally, West and Heritage will both be playing Bearden the next time they take the pitch. The Mountaineers will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
