East's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers. East have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Marple Newtown, too.

East's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Marple Newtown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

East and Marple Newtown will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vikings are set to face off against their familiar foe Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. Meanwhile, Marple Newtown will square off against rival Lower Merion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
