Buckeye Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Newark Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Buckeye Trail will square off against Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newark Catholic, they will take on Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th.
