Softball Game Preview: Westlake Demons vs. Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves

The Westlake Demons will challenge the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Buckeye hit Westlake with a eight-run second inning last Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Demons lost 17-7 to the Bucks. The Demons have struggled against the Bucks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Westlake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Lamb, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Riley Knapp was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Cuyahoga Heights finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against Twinsburg, falling 12-2. The Red Wolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cuyahoga Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
