Basketball Recap: Tavonte Martin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat High Point

There's no place like home for Parkdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over the High Point Eagles on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-43 back in December of 2024.

Parkdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tavonte Martin, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 20 boards. The dominant performance gave Martin a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists.

Parkdale's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for High Point, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Parkdale will venture away from home to face off against Eleanor Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Eleanor Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
