Marvin Ridge had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets 76-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-51 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Fort Mill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Colbie Wolf went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points.

Marvin Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Fort Mill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Marvin Ridge and Fort Mill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Marvin Ridge (ranked 27th) will meet Cox Mill (ranked 272nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Fort Mill will take on Northwestern at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 103 places (46 vs. 149).
