Basketball Recap: Duval Charter Comes Up Short

Duval Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Middleburg Broncos, falling 48-22. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-5 back in December of 2024.

Middleburg can attribute much of their success to Maycee Weaver, who posted 16 points along with six boards and four steals. Savannah Milam was another key player, putting up two points and seven steals.

Duval Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Middleburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Duval Charter will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Keystone Heights at 4:45 p.m. As for Middleburg, they will be taking part in a tournament against ED White at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
