Basketball Game Preview: Canutillo Eagles vs. Andress Eagles

Canutillo is 2-8 against Andress since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Canutillo Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Andress Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Canutillo was able to grind out a solid win over El Paso, taking the game 61-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Andress, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Jefferson 47-24 on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Silver Foxes are ranked 1177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canutillo's record is now 21-8. As for Andress, their record is now 18-11.

Canutillo came up short against Andress in their previous matchup back in January, falling 65-55. Can Canutillo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
