Bayside Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over the Excel Panthers. Given the Admirals' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Panthers are ranked 259th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bayside Academy found their leader in sophomore Davis Barnett, who threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Caid Lyons got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Bayside Academy, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lyons, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Bayside Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Excel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
