Recap: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Del Lago Academy Firebirds
Even though the Del Lago Academy Firebirds scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Fallbrook Warriors still came out on top. Fallbrook had just enough and edged Del Lago Academy out 62-60. The win was all the more spectacular given Fallbrook's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while Del Lago Academy is ranked 127th).
Fallbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samuel Carmona, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliott Watkins, who scored 16 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Fallbrook and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Del Lago Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Fallbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvin Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Del Lago Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th.
