Basketball Recap: Varela Takes a Loss

Varela lost against Ferguson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Varela Vipers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to the Ferguson Falcons. The Vipers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Varela's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Ferguson, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Varela will take on Sunset in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sunset is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season. As for Ferguson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Verot at 7:40 p.m. on December 27th.
