Leander and Hays are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Lions will challenge the Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leander will be strutting in after a victory while Hays will be coming in after a loss.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions last Thursday. Leander was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Lockhart. The win continues a trend for Leander in their matchups with Lockhart: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Hays scored first but ultimately less than Lehman in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 4-2. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lobos since on Friday.

Leander's victory bumped their record up to 10-14-2. As for Hays, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10-1 record this season.

Leander couldn't quite get it done against Hays in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 15-10. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
