Softball Recap: Halls Red Devils vs. Alcoa Tornadoes

After flying high against Campbell County last Tuesday, Halls came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Alcoa Tornadoes by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Red Devils have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Atiana Stamper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

As for Alcoa, they will venture away from home to face off against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tornadoes will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
