With a playoff win on the line, Community School of Davidson rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Elkin Buckin' Elks 5-4. Winning may never get old, but Community School of Davidson sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

They hit Elkin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Slack (2), Liam Carneiro (2), and Garrett Fitzpatrick.

Community School of Davidson's win bumped their record up to 14-5-1. As for Elkin, they moved to 22-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Community School of Davidson is taking a road trip to square off against Gray Stone Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
