Mankato East waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Marshall Tigers by a score of 6-1. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Mankato East's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mankato East will face off against Austin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will challenge New Ulm at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.6, the Eagles 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
