Basketball Recap: Red River Takes a Loss

Red River and West Fargo squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Red River had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 73-72 to the West Fargo Packers. The Roughriders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Packers earlier this season, when they won 83-78.

With the loss, Red River broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7. As for West Fargo, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Red River will take on Bismarck at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Fargo, they will challenge Dickinson on Thursday. One thing working in Dickinson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 25 matches.
