Basketball Recap: Franklin County Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Franklin County waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Bell Bulldogs as they made off with a 59-38 win. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Franklin County's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Bell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Franklin County and Cottondale will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottondale will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Franklin County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bell, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hamilton County at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
