Baseball Game Preview: Golder Panthers vs. ITW David Speer Academy Pride

Golder hasn't had much luck against ITW David Speer Academy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Pride at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Golder took on Rauner on Thursday. The Panthers lost 9-2 to the Wildcats.

Golder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Drysch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Drysch has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, ITW David Speer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Noble Street College Prep, falling 11-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Pride's highest-scoring game to date.

Golder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for ITW David Speer Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
