Basketball Recap: Galva Comes Up Short

After flying high against Peoria Heights last Monday, Galva came back down to earth. The Galva Wildcats had to suffer through a 55-23 loss at the hands of the Kewanee Boilermakers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Boilermakers are ranked 256th).

Galva's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Kewanee, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Galva and Elmwood will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on December 26th. As for Kewanee, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bureau Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
