Volleyball Recap: Springfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springfield had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Copley Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

One reason for the win was Springfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-13.

Tristan Geske was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had ten digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted since back in April.

Springfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Copley, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-16 record.

As of now, neither Springfield nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
