Basketball Game Preview: St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats vs. W.S. Neal Eagles

The St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the W.S. Neal Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Luke's Episcopal has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since October 12.

St. Luke's Episcopal saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against Leroy, falling 68-47.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask W.S. Neal). They blew past Red Level 86-49 on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Tigers are ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

W.S. Neal's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
