Softball Game Preview: Northeast Hurricanes vs. South Plantation Paladins

Northeast is 0-3 against South Plantation since March of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Hurricanes will host the Paladins at 6:00 p.m. Northeast has given up an average of 16.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northeast came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Flanagan, falling 27-15.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between South Plantation and Monarch, and South Plantation kept the tradition alive. The Paladins came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-4 on Tuesday.

South Plantation pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Northeast suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to South Plantation in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
