Softball Preview: Hancock Eagles vs. Prosser Falcons
The Hancock Eagles have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome the Prosser Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hancock will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Last Wednesday, Hancock got the win against Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park by a conclusive 18-8. With that victory, Hancock brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Hancock let Isabella Garcia and Hannah Scuito loose on the outfield. Garcia went 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles, while Scuito went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Aaliyah Solis was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Prosser can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Von Steuben a 12-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Prosser needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
