League recap: Somers' Donovan delivers best pitching performance from past week

North Central Connecticut league recap: 5/22/13

North Central Connecticut's top pitcher this week was Somers's Adam Donovan. Over the past week, he had two wins and 13 Ks.

Thomas Conlon was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .500 average, two home runs and six RBIs. Meanwhile, the Spartans put together a 3-2 week.

Suffield boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Michael Casciano, who collected six hits in nine at bats for a .667 average.

Somers' Michael Casciano led the league with six hits this week. His 25 hits for the year are second in the league, and he boasts a .455 batting average.



Conlon drove in six runners on Tuesday in the Spartans' 17-4 victory over Windsor Locks. He went 3-for-4 and scored two runs.
