Basketball Recap: West Prairie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

West Prairie had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans by a score of 46-36 on Wednesday. For the Cyclones, this counts as revenge for the 51-23 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

West Prairie's win bumped their record up to 2-19. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Prairie won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Macomb at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they and Biggsville West Central will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Bushnell-Prairie City is facing Biggsville West Central at the right time seeing as Biggsville West Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
