Basketball Recap: Manila Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Wendover came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Manila, but Ruthanna Wilson wouldn't allow it. The Manila Mustangs rang in the new year with a 50-40 victory over the Wendover Wildcats on Saturday thanks in part to Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Manila has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Wendover, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manila will welcome Little Snake River at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wendover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tintic at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
