Basketball Recap: Easton Hawkins Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pleasant Grove

Lehi won the last time they faced Pleasant Grove and things went their way on Friday too. The Lehi Pioneers blew past the Pleasant Grove Vikings 73-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pioneers have posted since December 5, 2024.

Lehi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Easton Hawkins, who posted 22 points and eight boards. Hawkins' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Shewell, who had 16 points.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Hudson Guthrie, who put up six points. Guthrie is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played.

Lehi's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Pleasant Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Lehi has already played their next matchup, a 73-48 win against Weber on the 21st. As for Pleasant Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-63 loss against Bingham on the 21st.
