Baseball Recap: Unity Comes Up Short

Unity and Barron pushed the score to 16-6 the last time they played Barron, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Unity has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Barron, their record now sits at 10-7.

Coming up, Unity will square off against Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Barron, they will host Grantsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
