Basketball Recap: Leonard Starts Season with Win Against Atlantic

Leonard took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 51-30 margin over the Atlantic Eagles. For the Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 66-45 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.

Lauren Brooks went supernova, putting up 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahana Joseph, who posted 13 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Leonard will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Worth at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. As for Atlantic, they and West Boca Raton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
