Baseball Recap: Statesville Christian Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Statesville Christian Lions came up short against the Crossroads Christian Colts and fell 4-1. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

Statesville Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremy Todd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Statesville Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Crossroads Christian, their record now sits at 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Statesville Christian will square off against Oak Ridge Military Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crossroads Christian, they will take on Ridgecroft at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
