Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Raymond). They blew past the McComb Tigers 17-7 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rangers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Raymond's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for McComb, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Raymond will face off against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McComb, a feisty cat fight will be fought as McComb Tigers face off against Lawrence County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They will need to watch out since Lawrence County has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
