Kiel is 2-8 against Brillion since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Raiders will square off against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kiel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sturgeon Bay a 14-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won three in a row.
Liz Neils made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Karris Fisher, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Boyer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Kiel hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brillion faced off against Reedsville on Thursday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-0 win. Eight seems to be a good number for the Lions as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Grace Krueger was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Krueger was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jana O'Connell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Carter Miller was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
The win (which was Brillion's fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kiel, their record now sits at 9-13.
Kiel might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Brillion in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
