Somerset Berkley Regional came tearing into  Monday's  matchup with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Greater New Bedford RVT Bears get on the board and left with  a   6-0  victory. Considering the Raiders have won six contests by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kyle Sherman Jr. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hayden Teasdale, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Somerset Berkley Regional pushed their record up to 11-3 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greater New Bedford RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Berkley Regional will take on Durfee at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Greater New Bedford RVT, they will face off against Old Rochester Regional at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
